Torsion Universal Testing Systems

eXpert 81T

ADMET torsion testers employ a linear slide design for maximum torsional stiffness and minimal axial friction. A reaction torque transducer is attached to a movable tail stock mounted on a linear slide. The tail stock can be left free floating or clamped during testing. All torsion testers feature unlimited rotation in both directions and are ordered as either horizontal or vertical testers. We will also modify a tester to meet your needs.

Biaxial Tests

Customers wishing to perform biaxial tests in tension/compression and torsion have several options. When the tail stock of the eXpert 81T is left free floating, the user can apply an axial pre-load to the specimen using a weight and pulley arrangement. Continuously variable axial forces can also be applied by adding a torsion actuator to the moving crosshead of an ADMET eXpert 2600 series dual column universal testing machine.
